Your princes they are rebelsCompanions of the thievesEveryone, they love their bribesAnd chase after giftsEvery mountain, every mountain, every mountain made lowEvery valley, every valley, every valley up shall growThere is a new way, out of this old messListen to the cry, from the wildernessMake a straight path, for the way of the Lord!Your rulers see their towersAnd are filled with vanityOne day you will see that the powers that beWill have no power over meEvery mountain, every mountain, every mountain made lowEvery valley, every valley, every valley up shall growThere is a new way, out of this old messListen to the cry, from the wildernessMake a straight path, for the way of the Lord!It is by giving, that we do receiveAnd by forgiving, that we are forgivenIt is by dying, that we are bornInto everlasting lifeThe Kingdom calls for courage (courage!)We will cry, the Lord will say"If you break the yoke of oppression...Your night will become noonday"It is by giving/Every mountain...Into everlasting life
